Cost Analysis of A Big Box Store that is in need of 90 circuits at 1,000 ft. Each.
There are 3 options to meet the requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Ten runs of one thousand feet of 12x 3.5” underfloor raceways to handle 9 circuits per raceway which is what is allowed for the current NEC requirements due to the 2005 derating. This is the most costly.

- The cost for option #3 is $192,500. $180,000 for 100 ten foot sections of raceway and $12,500 for the CVC coolWIRE support system. Each raceway could hold 90 circuits. This option requires less labor costs and allows easy reconfiguration if necessary.
